Pros & cons

From expert reviews

What's good
  • Claimed range is 500km and charges 0-80 per cent in 20 minutes.
  • The three-row interior is spacious and comfortable.
  • Has automatic sliding doors and is equipped with lots of tech.
What could be better
  • Is expected to be expensive.
  • Challenging to drive in tight spaces due to size.

The M9 makes a unique space for itself as the only electric luxury MPV in India, and that’s what makes it interesting. But does that translate to real-world appeal, especially in a segment that's overshadowed by SUVs? Let’s find out.

Brilliantly designed MPV

I was one of the early birds to take delivery in January 2026, and even today, I get the same kick every time I drive this car. The combination of weight, space, comfort, design and overall balance is simply outstanding. The battery placement gives it a very low centre of gravity, which keeps body roll remarkably well controlled and makes the car feel planted and confident on the road. Even after months of ownership, the excitement hasn’t faded. For me, it is simply the best MPV I have ever owned and driven.

so super ev luxury mg

I like my MG EV. It offers a smooth driving experience and feels very luxurious. The battery range of around 450–500 km is excellent. The suspension is smooth, and the seats are extremely comfortable, giving a premium feel. I feel lucky to own and drive an MG car. I truly love my MG EV.

Awesome over all look

Driving and sitting experience is good overall, but the company should increase its battery capacity 90 kw is not enough they should give approximately 120 kW, which will be very good for long drives

Excellent, luxurious first of it’s kind car

Extremely comfortable, better than the Toyota Vellfire. Front row and second row seats are highly comfortable, including ventilation and massage functions. Second row seats are lounge-like. Third row space is better than what you get in the second row in most cars. Drives smoothly and gives a high range if driven sensibly (400+, even 500 on a few occasions). Range drops in very hot weather and when driving uphill.
