Pros & cons

From expert reviews

What's good
  • The Celerio gets six airbags as standard.
  • Small footprint and excellent visibility make driving and parking effortless.
  • Available with both petrol and CNG powertrains.
  • In the petrol guise, it offers a mileage of 26kmpl (claimed).
  • It is more spacious than the older Celerio because it is much larger.
  • Peppy engine makes city/highway overtaking a breeze.
What could be better
  • At slower speeds, the AMT gearbox feels jerky.
  • Steering response is slow and there's hardly any feedback.
  • Does not feel like a value-for-money proposition anymore.

As far as fitness of purpose goes, the new Celerio is right on the mark.

Cng average, Daily use best car

The buying experience for the Maruti Celerio was simple and quick. The dealership was efficient, the paperwork was minimal, and I got delivery within a week. The on-road price is reasonable, making it a great entry-level option. Driving the Celerio daily has been stress-free. The 1.0L K-Series engine is peppy enough for city use and handles traffic easily. The CNG variant is where it really shines. I get around 28-32 km/kg on CNG, which makes running costs very low. Performance on CNG is slightly lower than petrol, but for daily commuting, it’s more than adequate. The AMT gearbox is smooth in
